Barbara Robinette Moss
A compelling story of growing up with 7 siblings amidst her father’s raging and abuse, Moss still makes her childhood familiar to us all as she tells about searching through their mother’s old trunk or memorizing and reciting poetry instead of having a TV. It is also the story of an awkward young woman finding her way to maturity.
If you liked Jeanette Walls’ The Glass Castle, you must read this memoir! Shocking at times, the book yet impresses us with the bond between the children and how they carry on in spite of the lack of parenting and the 3 Am tirades from her alcoholic father.
Barbara Robinette Moss has shared her life with us and I hope she continues to tell us more! It is so worth reading!!
